In Google Maps, press and hold (or right-click on desktop) the exact spot. The latitude and longitude appear — click or tap them to copy.
Paste the two numbers into the generator, and optionally add a label like your store or venue name.

The code encodes a Google Maps link built from your coordinates (and label, if you add one). Scanning opens the pin in the Maps app on Android and iOS, or in the browser on desktop — from there, one tap starts turn-by-turn navigation.
Coordinates are more precise than a typed address. They point at an exact spot rather than a street, which matters for places an address describes poorly: a stall inside a market, a farm gate, an event ground, a new building the map hasn't indexed yet, or the correct entrance of a large campus.
The code is static: the pin it opens never changes unless you generate a new code, and it keeps working for as long as Google Maps understands coordinates — effectively forever.
